These are the terms and conditions for the supply of a licensed
taxi provided by Taxi First.
All bookings are subject to driver availability and therefore
arrival times cannot be guaranteed. Taxi First shall have no
liability if a pick-up or journey time exceeds any estimate
given or if we cancel a booking - provided we have used
reasonable endeavours to fulfil the booking. Taxi First shall
have no liability if the cost of a journey exceeds any estimate
given. Any estimate given is supplied and accepted on the basis
that it is an estimate only, net of any extra's or handling
fee's and is based upon the conditions and tariff in place at
the time.
The taximeter will start running when the driver accepts the
assignment. The taxi will arrive showing a "run-in" up to a
maximum of £3.80 on the taximeter depending on the distance
travelled by the driver to reach the pick up address. The
taximeter will continue running throughout your journey until
your destination is reached at which point the meter cost of the
journey, inclusive of the run-in charge, will be displayed on
the taximeter. Please note that all meter charges are set and
controlled by
Transport for London. All hiring's are subject to a £2.00
booking fee, as itemised on the fare chart displayed in the
taxi, and will be charged by your driver as an extra at the time
of payment. A handling fee of 10% - minimum £2.00, will be
applied to all card payments. For your security and convenience,
please hand your card to the driver at the start of the journey.
Your driver will provide a receipt if required - Gratuity is
discretional.
Taxi First shall have no liability for any damage, loss, costs,
claims or expenses suffered by you by reason of anything
outside our reasonable control.
Please ensure that any item, including valuables and personal
effects brought into the taxi with you are removed from the taxi
at the end of the journey. Any item found in the back of a taxi,
but not belonging to the current passenger, shall be brought to
the attention of the driver as soon as it is possible to do so.
